4 Tips For a Stress-Free Christmas

1 As Christmas approaches, malls are packed. Kids and adults alike can feel overwhelmed by crowds. If you are not yet done your holiday shopping, try online stores or shopping in the morning, before stores get busy. In cases like this, avoiding stress-inducing environments is best.

2 If possible, hold small get-togethers rather than large shindigs.

3 Engage in outdoor activities. Does your child love to skate? Make some time to visit the ice rink (many offer free leisure skate hours). Snowshoeing and building snowmen are quiet, relaxing activities to try out. Being active burns off steam.

4 Remember that the holidays are about having fun. Put mental health first. The decorations don’t have to be perfect, the gifts don’t have to be extravagant and outfits don’t have to be over-the-top. If everyoneis smiling, your party a success.

Are there any tips you would add?
